10. tom petty - time to move on

a year ago i thought i'd never see the sun again. i thought i'd never be able to bounce back. i thought life would never get any better. i didn't care if it did or if it didn't. i just wanted to go back in time and fix things, fix my life before it shattered. i was stuck.
there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. things always get better. and even when it seems impossible, you will always move on.
if i had known this time a year ago where i would be today, i would have gladly welcomed the trials i have endured. how can so much good come from something so bad? the past year has proven that no matter what happens, it is what it is.

everything happens for a reason, they say. i never believed it until today.

"Don't waste your time looking back on what you've lost. Move on, because life is not meant to be traveled backwards."

another mix tape.

this week i made a pretty depressing mix.
hahahah. but seriously, it is way sad.
it's a mix i put on when i'm feeling kind of heartbroken about all of my past failed relationships. haha. i always try to plan out my life/relationships and it never ever works. it just goes to show you can never plan ahead, or else life will never turn out the way you want it to. just kidding..but seriously. when i get feeling in these rather awful moods,  i listen to some stellar tunes that are kinda depressing but wonderful nonetheless. here is a lovely mix for this week:

1. angus and julia stone - hold on
2. the weepies - be my honeypie
3. damien rice - grey room
4. broken social scene - lover's spit
5. citizen cope - sideways
6. radiohead - high and dry
8. ben harper - amen omen
9. the national - fake empire
10. manchester orchestra - badges and badges
11. modest mouse - a life of arctic sounds

enjoy with a bag of tissues and a bowl of ice cream.

a mix tape.

am i the only one who still enjoys a good mix  tape every now and then?
well..maybe not a mix tape. i upgraded to the "CD" a few years ago and despite the craze of iPods and such i still enjoy burning a good CD every so often of things i'm currently digging on.
i think today i'm going to share my most recent mix with youuuu!
hope you enjoy.

1. joanna newsom - sawdust and diamonds
2. freelance whales -enzymes
3. kings of leon - the end
4. band of horses - is there a ghost
5. portugal the man - all my people

7. fleet foxes - blue spotted tail
8. john legend & the roots - wake up (arcade fire cover)
9. ra ra riot - ghost under rocks
10. mumford & sons - little lion man
