the fourth.

the fourth of july was, as always, a lovely time. this happens to be my FAVORITE holiday ever. the warm weather, swimming, parades, fireworks, on top of hanging out with my family equals lauren is a pretty happy camper. this year was no exception & i spent the week prior to the fourth telling luke how very excited i was for a day off so i could squeeze the crap out of my nephew, preston. he didn't really get it until he saw what a cute little chunk that baby is turning into. he's so sweet! it was nice to see the rest of my family as well, although preston was my favorite ;)

hope everyone had a safe & happy holiday! i can't believe it's july already, but i'm SO EXCITED because this month is going to be awesome! seattle is in less than two weeks!

i had never been to provo...

until the fourth of july a few days ago.

hannah invited aaron, ryan and i to go sleep on the streets of provo  for the parade on the 5th.

so of course, we did.

i got to meet most of hannah's wonderful family, chill with good friends all night, put my sleeping bag to good use, and i got to see what all the buzz is about.

they start the day out with a 5k and a 10k that was fun to watch.. the parade lasted a couple hours and was a blast.but my favorite part:

was watching the hot air balloons over provo.

it was beautiful.

cache valley is notorious for its car show every year on the 4th of july.

this year i had to go, seeing how in my 3 years of living there i'd never gone.

needless to say it was so much fun!

this holiday happens to be my favorite holiday.

the parades, the water fights, the smell of campfire and hot dogs

swimming, barbeque's, staying out late, fireworks, spending every

last minute outside, barefoot, breathing in the summer air...

it's so good to be american.

despite the problems our nation faces we definitely have it good.

better than a lot of nations and countries i know of.

i am so grateful to live in such a beautiful place!!!
