with the band phoenix. their song 1901 is on a cadillac commercial.. when i heard it i thought, "what in the world? this song is amazing; who IS this?"
one google search later and i have found my new obsession. i go through phases with music. recently i've been in a radiohead/muse/wilco/tom petty phase. but lately it's turned more into a phoenix/pinback/stars phase.
if you haven't heard any of the above listed bands...... i feel sorry for you. and suggest you check them out asap!
