we have one more week until spring break up here... so we're just going to try to make it to friday in one piece.

i got to play dress up today before a vintage photo shoot...

i look like my grandma here. heheh. now all i need is her suitcase and i'd be set!

but seriously, it was a riot. i can't wait for you to see the real photos!

my plans for spring break consist of finally cleaning out my car, doing a bit of crafting, working lots, & enjoying the time off school with my boy.  this blog will be a bit quiet over the week, mostly because i'm so burnt out from technology right now it's not even funny. a break is good every once in awhile!

spring break highlights.

i had a very relaxing spring break [that went by way too fast]! i was VERY upset about having to go to school this morning and take a quiz. some highlights from the week were:

-saw rango with friends [and loved it]

-saw lincoln lawyer...definitely didn't love it.

-went to a mountain hymns concert

-hung out with logan friends, especially my favorite miss ally.

-worked..a lot. but still had fun doing so.

-ate at red iguana, one of my favorite mexican joints

[i highly recommend the mexican plate.]

-slept in

-ate sushi and carl's jr like it was going out of style

-hung out with my family

-watched tin man [zooey deschanel is gorgeous as ever in it]

-watched the sunrise yesterday morning at work and it was beautiful.

now i just need to make it through this week...i cannot wait for FESTIVAL OF COLORS this weekend! this will be my third year in a row going. see my previous post about it here.

spring break = sadness.

emily is leaving me to go to costa rica.

hannah gets to go to lake tahoe

and now she is going. without me.

i get to stay and work.

and be bored of logan.

oh well, i suppose. there are many great people staying behind to keep me company.

so excited.

spring break 2010 is going to be one for the books.

i get to go with these lovely people...

on the biggest, longest road trip ever.

my record previous to this was the trip i took last year with the bentley's to northern california. about an 18 hour drive with 3 unhappy little ones. haha.

this trip will beat that though.

52 hours of driving total.. if we decide to go to the grand canyon [which adam is set on].

first stop:
lake tahoe

to visit our good friends scott & molly who live there.

lots of hiking. lots of chillin'.  i can't even wait.

second stop:

somewhere outside of san francisco.

one day we'll spend hiking the country outside of san fran, exploring the wilderness of nocal. the next ryan's friend is going to show us the sights of the city.

fisherman's wharf. ghiradelli [prob spelled wrong] square. golden gate bridge. alcatraz. chinatown. SHOPPING.

third stop:

highway 1 as far as we can go.

it's going to be a ridiculously beautiful, leisurely drive.

with views like this:

fourth stop:

san diego

to stay with ryan's brother and with the help of him, and some friends of mine in that area... we're going to surf, tan, and chill on the beach all day.

also spend some time in the city. because san diego is awesome.

fifth stop:

grand canyon

this is going to be a ridiculously long trip... but totally worth it, seeing how none of us have been to the grand canyon. so why not?

sixth stop:

zion national park

on our way back we're going to need somewhere to crash so that we don't want to kill each other after 40+ hours in the car.

zion's is beautiful. and we'll get to camp even MORE!

finally, after all that driving, camping, beaching, etc, we'll be back to good old logan town. and i'll be sure to tell you all about the wonderful trip.

i just hope my friends won't want to kill me after 52 hours in a car with me.

oh, and guess who else gets to come?

she is one lucky girl, in for the road trip of a lifetime!!!
