the chicken coop.

say hello to my family's latest project.
we're currently working on building a chicken coop for our baby chicks we got last month.
which aren't so "baby" anymore, by the way..
anyways, we're not even halfway done with the thing, but i think it's safe to say the chickens already LOVE it.

they climbed on up in it when we weren't looking...so cute!
they love to sit close together on the little ledge, and watch us out in the yard!
who knew chickens would be so much fun?

-the great view from one of the hikes we went on.

-enjoying the great outdoors in general!

seriously, one of the greatest weekends ever. time off work is something i do not get enough of!

blue lemon.

this weekend luke and i ate at the blue lemon, an organic/hippie friendly restaurant right in downtown. it's part cafe part restaurant, and possibly one of my new favorite places in salt lake city.it was absolutely delicious!! their hummus (the picture above) was amazing, as was their turkey avocado sandwich i ate all of in a matter of minutes, and didn't even feel bad about doing.
the whole restaurant looks very chic and polished, and the food is out fast. it's actually fairly cheap as well, which says a lot for downtown dining. not to mention there are beautiful fountains right outside, lots of windows for views of the city, and blue lamps!! i think that was my favorite part.
