pola's.

i've been itching to buy a Polaroid camera lately...what with saving for TOM PETTY & other fun adventures though, it doesn't seem to be in the budget. Internet-created Pola's are the next best thing! I think I'm going to use these in my back room... I have a huge corkboard just waiting to be filled with awesomeness. Here's my inspiration:
(thank you, pinterest.)

these are some of my most favorite photos.
wish i had more photos of my mama though....will have to work on that.

pola pola.

stumbled across some old Polaroid's the other day.
I've been meaning to make a Polaroid wall in my new house but haven't had time to get around to it (finals week is coming!!!) I do have some Pola's already on display in mi casa, but I want to put up more. Here's some lovely little Pola's I found...brought back some  good memories:
bringing kiara to the library at USU.

Old Main.

Our "fourth roommate" Ryan. Miss him.

My old, haunted house.

I'll share more later...Trust me, I have a lot :)

sometimes i'm domestic.

here's my newest "craft" of sorts. i wanted to find a way to show off some of my favorite polaroids without just sticking them up on the wall or something.
i bought a wooden frame & wire, (all of like five dollars) & used clothespins to pin up some of my faves. the best part is i can interchange them with my other polaroids if i want to.
the first one is of my sister & i with santa when we were little...& dressed super stylish, might i add. i also have one of a friend of mine & i in logan, my nephew, & the view of a sunflower field in logan.
love polaroids.

snowshoeing.

today was a great day spent with my best friend.
we went snow shoeing.

the drive up the canyon [on an empty gas tank]. quite scary. but not quite as scary as the snow shoe adventures about to commence.

kiara, as you can tell, loved this adventure just as much as we did.
however...

there was one close call.. but emily's snow shoe got caught on a tree and therefore saved her life!!! it was so fun to hang out with emily, and the dog. i love the rare occasions where just emily and i can HANG OUT and be best friends. sometimes it gets hard with so many people/parties/school/work, so a friday spent conquering a mountain was all-in-all a great success.

oh.... AND percival our pet polaroid came with us on the adventure as well..
checkit.

dark, but rockin' still.

this week in general was also good. i found a way to get into 6 credits!!! yay!! i'm taking math and english. two classes i've been putting off taking since i got here for school, but now that i'll only have 2 classes i'll be able to really focus on them and get epic grades!
i also have had no luck whatsoever on the job hunt. so i've just been upping the hours at my current jobs if at all possible. which isn't really working.

despite my financial situation still struggling, i've managed to make due with what i have and have had a very happy happy week!!
last random thought.. i am trying to decide if i am one of those girls who pulls off the "lipstick" look. i see so many girls doing it and can't help but envy how cute it looks on them. but i always feel uncomfortable trying out anything too "girly".

here's a dark picture of my first attempt at lipstick.
photo taken by 3-year-old zachary, who honestly told me he wanted to take my picture, because he thought i had a cute outfit on today.
children are adorable.

so sad.

i just returned from volunteering at the cache humane society. i got to walk all the dogs and play with all the adorable cats.

this is jade. she has the best puppy face and the biggest brown eyes you'll ever see.
[i'm also very glad my rocket dogs made it into this picture.]

copper, the adorable basset hound.

she was my favorite.

there were so many adorable puppies. i just loved playing with them.

it's so sad to me that all of these great dogs and cats don't have homes! if i could [and if my roommates wouldn't kill me] i would take them all home with me. they are the sweetest little things!

i know everyone gets so busy sometimes, but if you ever have a spare moment and are bored,  volunteering at the humane society is one of the best things you can do! after all, it really pays off when you see how much every dog there loves you.

now that Polaroid film is going to be made again this year.. (yay 2010!!!)
my roommate emily and i can finally add onto our polaroid wall...

it's fairly small thus far, but we plan on it covering our entire hallway.
:]

this is exciting. welcome to one of the MANY reasons i am so excited for 2010!!
